EARTH TONE WALL ART

Earth tone abstract wall art, made to order on Hahnemühle archival paper

Ochre. Umber. Raw sienna. Warm grey. The palette here is the ground itself, taken seriously. These works come from Ground Notes, paintings by Abstractions By Dev that begin in the Himalayan foothills and stay loyal to what soil actually looks like.

Nothing in this range competes with a room. It sits beside wood, linen, plaster and brick as if it grew there. Every work is made to order on Hahnemühle archival paper, from ₹2,999.

The Works

The three Spring paintings move from turned earth to the first green weeks. The two Symbiotic Relationship squares hold ochre against pale clay, painted as companions. Happy Tortoise keeps the warmest end of the range and is the one limited edition on this page.

The Paper

Hahnemühle Fine Art Matte 210gsm carries these pigments without gloss or glare, which matters for a palette this quiet. The limited edition prints on Museum Etching 350gsm. More in why we print on Hahnemühle.

Choosing a Size

The squares print at 50x50cm and pair well. The rest run Medium (30x40cm) to X-Large (60x90cm). In a room with natural materials, one Large work usually does more than three small ones.

The ground is where everything begins. Not as metaphor. As fact.

Ground Notes

If a room already has its materials, wood, stone, cotton, clay, these works will not argue with them. The full set lives in Ground Notes. For where this palette comes from, see Himalayan wall art. For the stillest of these works, japandi wall art.

What counts as earth tone wall art?

Work whose palette stays within what soil, clay, sand and stone actually offer: ochre, umber, sienna, warm grey, muted green. On this page that is literal. These paintings were made looking at the ground of the Himalayan foothills, and the pigments hold to that range without drifting into brights or pastels.

Will earth tones work with my furniture?

Almost certainly, and that is the point of the palette. Earth tones share a family with wood, leather, linen and plaster, so the work reads as part of the room rather than an argument with it. If your space leans cooler, Spring III carries the most grey and sits quietest against cool walls.

What sizes are available?

The two Symbiotic Relationship works are square, printed at 50x50cm. Every other work runs Medium (30x40cm), Large (45x60cm) and X-Large (60x90cm), made to order. A single Large usually anchors a room better than a cluster of small pieces.

What paper are these printed on?

Made-to-order works print on Hahnemühle Fine Art Matte 210gsm, an archival sheet with a natural matte surface that suits muted pigment. The limited edition prints on Hahnemühle Museum Etching 350gsm. Both are rated 100+ years under recommended display conditions.

Are any of these limited editions?

Happy Tortoise is an edition of fifty on Hahnemühle Museum Etching 350gsm, numbered, hand signed, and certified. The rest are made to order with no cap. Each work's page lists its paper and process.
