Dusk Over Ridge

by Abstractions By Dev · 2024

There is a hill in Shimla where the sun takes its time leaving. The ridge holds its shape long after everything else has gone dark. I painted this from memory, months after the evening itself. The colours had shifted in my mind. They had become something the camera never caught. I created textures through cement and rocks that gave the surface the weight that evening deserved.

Ground Notes·2024

Raised in the Himalayan foothills and shaped in Paris, my work explores the unresolved tension between stillness and motion. I translate this dialogue between nature and form through thick, textured layers that mirror the stillness of mountains, while fluid gestures capture light, water, and all that moves beyond form.
